A Pre-Listing Inspection is a good idea!

Before putting your home on the market, it can be a good idea to have a professional home inspector perform an inspection on your home.

As a rule of thumb, the inspector you hire to perform the inspection should have at least 5 years experience and has passed one of the national home inspector test. Make sure you find a reputable inspector. It is a good idea to do your due diligence in selecting a home inspector.

A home inspector should find at least some issues with the home they are inspecting, even in new construction. Don't be fooled by the statement "the city inspected the house and it passed". Everyone is human and they don't always either look close enough or look at the same items a home inspector is looking for.

To sum it up, inspections are necessary in all cases and getting ahead before a buyer puts an offer on your home is highly advisable.

As always it is best to contact a real estate professional with any specific questions you may have. If you have any questions for us don't hesitate to reach out to us at:
